The days Hyuuga Neji spent at the academy studying with fellow students was a faint memory in the past. Nevertheless he would still come by for training. The brunette took his position a fair ten meters away from one of the towering oaks, his limbs were firm and showed no signs of fatigue as did his milky gaze. The boy closed his pupil-less eyes. With a single hand movement the sound of metal swiping through the air rang in his ears until it halted to a thud against the tree. Neji's feet pivoted 360 degrees, 1,2,3,4,5 more razor sharp instruments sliced through the air.
Everything became silent as Neji opened his eyes once more, scanning the area he noticed all six trees had been hit; each in the center of the target. Neji acknowledged this but his facial expression remained unchanged, after all; accuracy had always been a strong point of his. A gust of wind rushed by and picked up locks of brown hair that soon began to cascade down his chiseled features. It was beginning to get cold as the day drew on. Neji contemplated returning home, but dismissed the thought; knowing he preferred the freedom of the great outdoors.

Rage clouded vivid green eyes as the youngest female Hisano family member stomped through the Academy. Not one thought of former classes or childhood memories slip through her mind. In fact, most of her childhood memories would have been of another village. That was besides the point. With a violent kick, the small innocent pebble which had sat still in the path ahead of her, flew through the air in an untamed ride. Dark red strands of hair turned a fierce maroon in the light of day as Yori continued to walk through the Academy grounds. She was so lost in her own musings that Yori had failed to notice that her aimless trudge lead her to the training grounds.
'"D***it Yori! The precious gift you're uncle Asa gave you, you ruined it!" Mother's honey brown eyes held nothing but complete and utter disappointment as she held up Yori's sky blue scarf. Scratch that last part and change it with, what's left of Yori's sky blue scarf.
Softly; Her mother's voice was becoming more inaudible. "There is no way to repair this Yori. You're uncle had this scarf made especially for you. We can't go back to the village and try to find the sewer who made this..." What else her mother had said was lost to Yori. In a blind and deaf rage Yori pulled out one of her hidden kunais, and threw it at the offending cloth that was once the dearest object to her. The kunai hit its target directly.
In mere seconds the cloth and kunai were held within the wall of the Hisano family's house. Not one tear slipped from her eyes as Yori turned away. Whatever her mother screamed held no meaning. The last sound Yori could ever remember hearing was the door as it slammed shut.'
The sound of metal swiping through the air grabbed her attention. Instantly, with one blink, Yori regained her focus and began to take in her surroundings. How did I get here? The thought surfaced with just an ounce of anxiety. Slowly, the anger held within her eyes melted as she noticed the silent boy training. He looked oddly familiar...The expressionless face...Pupil-less eyes...Hyuuga Neji. Of course, who else could it have been besides him. Yori usually wasn't all that observant, or so it seemed to the rest of the world, however despite only being in Konoha for the past three years she knew more than what most would expect from her.
In one fluid motion Yori wiped her eyes and brushed back the red waves that impaired her vision. It didn't matter what had happen as long as no one knew she was upset. A gust of wind only added to the problem as the cool air hit against her moist eyes. A shiver ran down her spine as her freckles became even more announced against ghostly white skin. Yori parted pale pinks lips to let out a soft sigh. Quickly, she took one last look at Hyuuga's work before walking around the outer layer of his path.
Yori's left hand never strayed far from her side where a hidden kunai stayed. Hyuuga probably would not start a fight, especially since the two barely knew each other though they were the same age. It was just a precaution Yori made whenever near someone she couldn't or just didn't trust.

An unfamiliar chakra caught Neji's senses, his ears swiftly twitched at the sound of faint footsteps, the brunette's snow white eyes turned to a figure in the near distance. It couldn't have been an academy student because she looked about the same age as him; yet he did not recognize the passer by. The Hyuuga returned his attention to the tree. Pacing fowards he outstretched a bandaged arm to tug the metal object away from the oak, small shards of bark jolted out from the tree where he had aggressively retrieved the kunai.
A fist clenched onto the weapon, thoughts of returning home wavered through his mind; he knew it was getting late yet he didn't feel the need to leave. No, no-one would mind nor care, it was best to stay out, enjoy what little freedom he had. A bead of sweat rolled off of his features due to the excessive work he had been doing. Yet in his mind, he still wasn't satisfied by the amount of training he had done. Unfortunately his limbs would no co-operate due to the lack of strength. It must've been a good 5 hours of solid training with breaks in between. Neji's glance hit the girl once more, he would've sat down but that would've shown weakness.
"Who are you?" He asked, with a hint of suspicion in his tone. Surely if they were the same age they would've bumped into each other at some point, she could've been an intruder, an impostor. Or maybe, he had simply failed to notice her in the past. Nevertheless it was better to be safe than sorry.

A questioning voice cut into her path and stopped Yori's aimless journey short. She tilted her head to the side to allow herself a better view of Hyuuga. It was obvious from Hyuuga's tone of voice that he did not recognize her at all. It seemed someone was less observant than she was thought to be, then again most students didn't know Yori very well. She was often left to her own devices. Not that she cared or anything, it was just an unspoken agreement between herself and the world.
The corners of her mouth twitched up in a quick smile. The first to grace her face today. Hyuuga was the last person to ever mock or make fun of yet Yori couldn't help but think his question funny. The slight edge of suspicion in his voice only added to the humor. A spark of amusement lit her eyes.
"My name is Yori. Youngest female member of the Hisano family." Her voice was soft and held an air of confidence, which many mistakenly perceived as arrogance. It was obvious she took pride of her family name, even if it held no real meaning. "I believe you're Hyuuga Neji, are you not? You were in one of my classes during my first year here."
Yori's voice never rose in volume or held an edge of rudeness to it. In fact, she seemed quite calm and collected. The only thing that gave herself away were her green eyes which still shine bright with amusement though they were beginning to dull.

Neji heard the reply and reluctantly turned his whole body to face her, pupil-less eyes scanned the other figure and soon her face triggered his memory...he knew the girl, but obviously not very well as her chakra was not one he had recognized. Then again he had never had to fight her, nor activate Byakugan during classes. Nevertheless they all seemed to know about his little 'gift', Neji winced at the days when kids would constantly ask to see the Byakugan in action, but he always refused; he would only train his Byuakugan with other Hyuugas, they were generally very secretive about it, well at least Neji was...
"That would be me. Long time no see. Yori." Came his monotonic reply, he wondered what her reasons for being here were, but Neji being Neji didn't like to pry; just as he didn't like people prying into his business. The brunette was surprised to see her after such a long time, it seemed Neji had been spending more time out on missions or practicing with his team, so he didn't tend to bump into old classmates.
Neji leaned back against one of the trees to support his limp fame, the teen was careful not to slouch; it wasn't in his nature to give up the formal posture. He raised his arms across his chest whilst his attention soon returned to Yori.
